IDA Silver Infocomm Day 2014

With Singapore’s increasing aging population, it is important to proactively equip the aging population with the appropriate infocomm knowledge and skills on the widespread use of infocomm technology. The Silver Infocomm Initiative (SII) is a multi-pronged approach to address the vast differences in educational background, language and infocomm competencies amongst senior citizens (aged 50 and above).

The key objectives of SII are to raise awareness of infocomm through informing and educating the senior citizens and to increase adoption of infocomm usage through workshops and trainings. The Silver Infocomm Day (SID) is IDA’s iconic mass training-cum-awareness event under the SII. It is held annually to engage seniors (aged 50 and above) on the latest infocomm trends and encourage them to learn and use IT.
